Dubai-Ras Al Khaimah –
Fujairah - Hatta - Jebel Hafeet Al Ain
Day 01
Dubai - Ras Al Khaimah (Breakfast / Lunch /
Dinner) – approx. 100 km
09:00 After breakfast check out and depart and
drive North East by passing city of Sharjah
towards Dhaid which is a small farming town.
Our off-road section starts from Falaj Al Moalla
and head North towards Digdagga. Enroute pass
by an extensive forest of ghaf trees where there
is a strong chance of seeing wild donkeys, red
fox and wandering camels. Enjoy a picnic lunch
and continue the tour thereafter.
The
off-road drive ends at the Ras Al Khaimah racetrack
where races, a popular sport in the country,
are still held during the winter months. There
will be opportunity to see camels and jockeys
in training in the late afternoon. Exit the
desert section and drive through Ras Al Khaimah
to the hotel for check-in.
Dinner and overnight at Ras Al Khaimah
Day 02
Ras Al Khaimah – Fujairah (Breakfast /
Lunch / Dinner) – approx. 100 km
09:00 After breakfast check out and drive South
East passing through the old city of Ras Al
Khaimah and reach the entrance turn off to the
Wadi Bih Mountains. Drive by the various villages
and reach the UAE check post. Here we enter
the Musandam Peninsula. This is as close as
one can get to the Straits of Hormuz while being
in the United Arab Emirates.
Start the drive on Wadi bed (dried-up riverbeds)
and continue all the way up to reach the Rowdah
Bowl where there is another check-post. Here
start climbing on low gear all the way up to
1000 meters. The climb out of the Wadi is steep
and has some of the most dramatic views of the
whole trip. Stop and enjoy a picnic lunch.
After lunch start descending towards Dibba
Town. The track takes you through a narrow twisting
gorge called Wadi Khab Al Shamis. Here you see
the contrast between Wadi Bih and this side.
Exit the mountains close to the Al Hisn Fort
and drive on black top (tarmac) to reach Al
Aqah.
Dinner and overnight in Fujairah
Day 03
Fujairah / Hatta / Al Ain – (Breakfast
/ Lunch / Dinner) – approx. 350 km
07:30
After breakfast check out and drive South West
on Dibba - Masafi Highway. Leave the black top
at Al Hala and enter the Wadi Tayyibah track.
This is a very slow journey as the track is
nearly washed off due to seasonal rains. This
used to be the only crossing between the east
and west cost in the earlier times. The black
top is still visible in some places. There are
some challenging spots to negotiate with the
help of your local guides in this area. Exit
Tayyibah village and drive on gravel track to
the start point of Wadi Asimah. Stop and enjoy
a picnic lunch in Wadi Asimah.
After lunch continue South down the narrow
Wadi bed track to reach Wadi Mawrid. Here one
has to be careful while negotiating the narrow
gaps. After a short break drive on the same
track to exit at the Al Ghail town. From here
onwards it’s on black top all the way
to Manama (small town belonging to the Emirate
of Ajman).
Continue to drive past the small town that
lies on the foot of the mountains. Here start
off-roading on gravel tracks and one can see
the various colours in the Hajar Mountains.
The drive will cut through some interesting
terrain and put man and machine through some
interesting patches. Pass by villages of Ray,
Fay and Madha to reach Buraimi. Here exit the
mountains and drive via the town of Buraimi
(Enclave of Oman) to reach the Jebel Hafeet.
This is the highest point in the UAE that is
accessible by vehicle.
Dinner and overnight at Jebel Hafeet.
Day 4
Al Ain – Dubai (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
– approx. 150 km
08:00
After breakfast check out and depart North East
for the city of Al Ain and drive via the highlights
of the city. Start the most challenging section
of the trip.
Enter at Al Oha and drive North West through
some of the most spectacular sand dunes to reach
the Shawaib plains. Enroute stop for a picnic
lunch thereafter continues the drive towards
Madam. Exit dunes and drive on a short section
on black top before starting the final section
on sand.
Arrive in Margam and join the dune dinner.
Unwind and recap all the adventurous days behind.
Enjoy a sumptuous BBQ dinner under the stars.
Drive back to hotel in Dubai/Sharjah late in
the evening.

Day 01
Breakfast
After breakfast drive to Ras Al Khaimah and
Check-in to the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah in time
for lunch.
Relax on the pristine stretch of beach that
stretches across two kilometers. You can make
the best of the refreshing blue waters with
a host of exciting water activities OR Discover
the quaint town of Ras Al Khaimah and visit
its museum. Overnight stay in Ras Al Khaimah
Day 02
Breakfast & Lunch
07 AM: After breakfast, drive to Khasab after
completing immigration formalities at the borders
of UAE & Oman.
09 AM: Arrive at Khasab harbour and board the
traditional Omani Dhow for cruising in the spectacular
fjords of Musandam. We explore hidden villages,
famous ‘telegraphic island’ built
by the British in 1864. Swim & Snorkel in
clear waters of the Gulf of Oman. If one is
lucky, it is possible to watch Dolphins!!
16:00: Arrive at Khasab harbour and drive back
to Ras Al Khaimah.
18:00: Overnight stay at Ras Al Khaimah
Day 03
Breakfast & Lunch
After breakfast, depart on a thrilling dune
driving experience followed by a drive in the
Wadis.
Picnic lunch at Wadi Assima (Please note that
it is not possible to swim in this Wadi).Visit
hot springs in Khatt and proceed to the camel
race track .You may get to see camels racing
or in training.
Drive back to hotel and Overnight stay in Al
Khaimah
Day 04
Breakfast
After breakfast at the hotel, check-out and
proceed to Dubai.

Dubai - Khasab (Lunch & Dinner)
Following
breakfast at the hotel, check-out and drive
via Ras Al Khaimah to Khasab and Check-in to
Golden Tulip Resort Khasab. PM: After lunch
drive 4WD to Jebel Harim, the highest peak in
Musandam (2087M), spectacular for the incredible
viewpoints and landscapes. Enroute stop at Sayah
village – explore the mountain village
situated at 1100 meters above sea level. On
your way back drive to Khawr Najid, a stunning
viewpoint overlooking the Indian Ocean, and
then to Birkhat Khalidiaya Park, a natural park
with lot of acesia trees. Dinner and overnight
stay at Golden Tulip Resort Khasab
Day 02
Khasab (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Following breakfast at the hotel drive to Khasab
harbour to board our traditional Omani Dhow.
Cruise into the spectacular fjords of Musandam
exploring small fishing villages, famous telegraphic
island, swim and snorkel in clear waters (if
you are lucky you will see Dolphins). Full day
Dhow cruise includes refreshment and lunch on
board). Return to the harbor late afternoon.

Day 03
Khasab – Dubai (Breakfast)
Following breakfast at the hotel, checkout and
proceed for a city tour of Khasab with a visit
to Khasab Fort built by the Portuguese in the
16th century, later drive to Wadi Tawi to see
the 2000 year old pre-historical rock paintings.
Thereafter continue the journey to Dubai. Check-in
to the hotel in UAE around mid-day.
